What is a Tender Database?
Databases are systems for electronic data processing that store large amounts of data efficiently, consistently and permanently. Tender databases are databases that collect information on tenders for the construction, supply and service sectors and make it easily accessible. A distinction can be made between public tender databases, government portals and company portals.
Government Portals
The UK Government provides the database ‘Find a Tender’ as their tender database. Find a Tender (FTS) replaces the EU’s Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) for high value contracts as of 1 January 2021. FTS provides buyers and suppliers with high-value, public contract tenders published directly by buyers within the UK. For companies seeking opportunity in Europe are guided to utilise TED.
