What is an Invitation to Tender (ITT)?
Also known as ITT, Invitations to Tender are formal documents issued by the buyer to invite suppliers or contractors to participate in the competitive bidding of contracts. The word required could be in the form of supply or service.
Following the standard tender process, it’s common that a pre-qualification questionnaire, PQQ, is required before the invitation to tender is sent. A process in which reduces potential service providers or suppliers to ensure the invitation to tender is sent to qualified businesses. Passing the PQQ stage provides a shortlisting of the best possible candidates.
