What is a Selection Questionnaire?
The standard selection questionnaire (SQ) requires potential suppliers to initially self-declare their compliance with exclusion grounds and respond to selection questions. Typically, the verification of the supplier’s status is conducted only for the winning bidder. The SQ is divided into three distinct sections:
- Supplier Information: This section gathers basic details about the supplier, including contact information, trade memberships, parent company details, and group bidding information.
- Exclusion Grounds Self-Declaration: Suppliers self-declare whether any exclusion grounds are applicable to them.
- Selection Criteria Self-Declaration: Suppliers self-declare their compliance with the specified selection criteria.
The purpose of the standard SQ is to streamline the supplier selection process, making it easier and more accessible, particularly for smaller businesses, within the public sector.
