The Part L Building Regulation, officially referred to as Approved Document L by the UK Government, maps the legal requirements for the conservation of fuel and power in buildings.
The Approved Document L is split into two volumes:
Volume 1: Dwellings
Volume 2: Buildings other than Dwellings
What's the difference between Volume 1 and Volume 2?
Volume 1: Dwellings, provides guidance on how to comply with Part L Schedule 1 to the Building Regulations and the energy efficiency requirements for dwellings.
Volume 2: Buildings other than Dwellings, provides guidance relating to non-domestic buildings.
