What are Specification of Services?
The specification description is a list of services to be carried out by a contractor or seller as defined in contract law. This definition is the main point when concluding a contract. With the contract, the buyer and seller, service provider and service recipient sign both the service description to be provided and the consideration to be provided. Benefits of the service description by definition
Based on the service description, it can be checked in comparison with the end product, or the item delivered and handed over whether the desired, “agreed condition” could be achieved. The seller has contractually obliged the buyer to do this.
If there are deviations from the specified specification in the final product, this can be considered a material defect and entitle the buyer to make warranty claims.
List of Specification of Services for contracts
Even when issuing a tender or preparing an offer, the service description plays a key role, especially in complex contracts. A specification of services records in detail which services are to be provided by the seller or contractor and what he or she is contractually obliged to do. The service features to be provided are also recorded in the service list.
Benefits of Specifications of Services by definition
The service description allows for a comparison with the final product or delivered item to determine if the agreed-upon quality has been achieved. The seller is contractually obligated to meet this standard with the buyer.
If the final product does not meet the specified requirements, it may be deemed a material defect, giving the buyer the right to pursue warranty claims.
