Work Starts on Eckersley Mills Revamp

Construction work is already underway in a bid to transform two of the mills at Eckersley Mill in Wigan, Greater Manchester. Mill 1 will become a sprawling social hub fit with foodhall, bar and rooftop extension. Part of a £200m masterplan, works are on this mill are expected to be complete in around 18 months. Mill 3 is also due to see construction of a new five-storey accommodation comprising of 137 apartments, which is due to take around 19 months to complete. The whole redevelopment is expected to be complete at the end of 2025.

Plans Submitted for Southampton Care Development

Plans are in for the construction of a new care development in Bishops Waltham, Southampton. Development of Abbey Mill on Station Road is estimated to reach £15m and will consist of a 66-bed care home, 39 assisted living apartments, and 31 houses. Existing buildings will be demolished and the complex is due to take two years to complete.
