Approval gained for £15m Southwark apartment block
Detailed planning approval has been granted for the construction of 117 one-bedroom apartments on Ossory Road in Southwark, London. The building will also incorporate ground floor commercial/industrial space along with associated access, parking and landscaping. Construction is due to start in 2023 with completion in 2025.
Plans proposed for retirement flats in Chester
McCarthy & Stone have presented plans for a new retirement building in Chester, Cheshire. The new build is estimated to cost £10m and will consist of 56 apartments spread across 4 storeys. The build will also include communal facilities such as residents’ lounge, guest suite, and mobility scooter storage with charging points.
Eden Project North expected to start construction in 2023
Construction work on the proposed Eden Project North in Morecambe, Lancashire is expected to begin in September 2023. The attraction has recently been awarded £50m towards the project as part of the UK Government’s Levelling Up Fund. Tendering for the scheme is due to begin over the coming months.
Buchanan Galleries redevelopment plans revealed
Land Securities Group have unveiled their latest plans for the Buchanan Gallaries extension project in Glasgow, Scotland. The £850m scheme will see extensions made to the existing shopping centre to provide additional retail, restaurants, offices and more.
