TED

TED is the abbreviation for ” Tenders Electronic Daily “, an online service for the publication of public contracts of the European Union (S series, Official Journal S or OJ S). This is also the definition on the TED website. Literally translated, Tenders Electronic Daily means daily electronic tenders.

TED publishes 520,000 contract notices annually on the website ted.europa.eu – of which 210,000 tenders had a total value of around 420 billion euros.

The UK Government has created their own database to replace TED as of 1 January 2021 called ‘Find a Tender.’
