Get accurate project data from trustworthy sources – delivered to you by the combined expertise of Barbour ABI and the IPA.
The map reflects government’s commitment to economic growth. You can easily visualise key details of the projects in the pipeline.
The pipeline sets out planned procurements, planned and projected investment, and workforce requirements over the next 10 years.
Barbour ABI have partnered with the Infrastructure and Projects Authority to give you instant access to our interactive map. Use the map to discover key information, such as: sector, status, value, timing, and region of each project in the pipeline. With infrastructure project data over the next 10 years, you can use this insight for strategic planning and forecasting.
The National Infrastructure and Construction Pipeline sets out planned procurements, planned and projected investment, and workforce requirements in construction and infrastructure over the next decade.
By government and industry being aligned in our ambition of adopting the most modern technologies for major projects, it will make public services more efficient, innovative and sustainable, reducing cost to the taxpayer.
We have created an interactive Smart Map to let you easily visualise key details of the projects in the pipeline, and to provide knowledge and clear understanding of where infrastructure investment is being made and by whom.
The map reflects government’s commitment to economic growth and a flourishing economy, with £379 billion of planned investment – £164 billion of which is scheduled to occur by 2024/25.
Barbour ABI are the market leader in construction intelligence, with the largest UK-based team of researchers and experts.
We were founded to support the UK construction industry – helping businesses to sustain and grow.
As the market leading provider of construction project information, we strive to allow our clients to access the very best, accurate and up-to-date data on construction projects and the key decision makers that are involved.
The overall pipeline is not a statement of need or a commitment to undertake all or any specific projects or programmes shown. All of the publicly funded elements of the infrastructure and construction pipeline represent announced government projects or spending commitments, in line with funding agreed for the 2021 Spending Review period (which set departmental budgets to 2024/25). Public spending beyond 2024/25 will be confirmed within the next Spending Review. In a number of other sectors, such as energy, the decision to go ahead with individual projects will be determined by the market.
The pipeline is based on unaudited administrative data and should not be considered as national statistics or as official statistics. The data is owned by Departments, Local Authorities or Companies that provided it. Anyone using the pipeline data does so at their own risk and no responsibility is accepted by HM Government for any loss or liability which may arise from such use directly or indirectly. In preparing and collating this National Infrastructure and Construction Pipeline, sensitive information has been removed for reasons of confidentiality, linked to commercial sensitivity or national security.
